At the People Serving People Early Learning Center @ Center of Excellence it is important to us to enroll the entire family, and invest in the parents, grandparents, and caregivers that are in the child’s life.
We do this by having continued opportunities for parents to be involved with our programming: holding family events, connecting parents and caregivers to local resources, providing fun take-home experiences to do with their child, and offering topical and specific classes for different stages in parenting. We also have a Family and Programming Assistant Director to engage and meet with families throughout their time enrolled. Conferences are held twice a year, along with one-on-one meetings to help set family goals if desired.
By involving the parents and caregivers, the child’s experience will be both more effective and enjoyable for the whole family.
We recognize that from time to time each of us may need some additional help and support. In addition to the resources you will find at the program (including staff), our Family Handbook features many resources that can support our families. As a 4-Star Parent Aware rated program we also encourage you to access their website for resources related to finding childcare, paying for childcare and general information about types of childcare, as well as growth and development.
